Game Recap

Central traveled down to the Notre Dame football field to take on the Fighting Irish. It was near 90 at kickoff and Central struggled to build out from the back with the small field dimensions. The play was fairly even but Notre Dame scored once on a beautiful shot to the far top corner and followed with a header on a corner kick. Near the end of the half Luis broke through on goal and was brought down in the box. He followed up with a PK to make the score 2-1 athe half.

After Half time the boys really picked it up and went to work with a goal within the first two minutes. Luis Sanchez played Stephen Falter through for the goal. The game carried on with Central more in control and Notre Dame playing long. Their approach worked and #17 dribble in to the box only to be fouled by our Centerback. The PK that followed was saved by Russell Harper in goal. The match carried on to the final 3 minutes when Jacob Apigian served in a corner that Stephen Falter put away for his second goal of the match.
The game finished 3-2. The boys move on to play Merrol Hyde on Thursday in a rematch of a district Championship that was never completed.
