Siegel High School vs Central Magnet High School
2 4

What a great match played by both teams on Monday night! After a delayed start due to Siegel’s long first round match (Central had a BYE), the match got started at 8:00PM.

The top four singles players took the court – and after a few long matches, the score was tied 2-2. #5 singles took the court, then #1 doubles after a short rest.

Central’s #1 doubles team of Mamie Sevier and Megan Scott avenged a regular-season loss to Siegel’s #1 team of Murray/Meyer by taking an 8-3 win! That made the score 3-2 Central is ahead.

Ally Cameron (#5) was playing an awesome match. It was 10:45PM and everyone was exhausted from a long day at the courts! But Ally was able to pull out the WIN 6-1-, 7-6!

The Tigers move on to the finals in the District 7 Large team tournament to defend their title! Next up, Blackman High School – in a rematch of the 2018 District title match where the Blaze took the Tigers to the closest district contest of their season. We expect no less from them on Tuesday!
