The girls team is a little beaten up right now. We have 4 girls on the DL (Disabled List), including two of our players in the top 3… but the rest of the team has really stepped up! It’s a great opportunity for them to improve! The match vs Blackman didn’t go the way we had hoped… the girls lost 2-5. But our rookies got some valuable playing time and learned some lessons that they can carry forward into the season!
After a rough start with doubles (losing at both #1 and #2 doubles), the Tigers roared back with wins at #2 and #3 singles. Matches were close on other courts and we hoped to be able to pull out another W or two, but it wasn’t to be.
Fatima Razzaq got her first varsity singles match – which ended in a loss, but she kept it close. The coaches were really impressed with her effort!
